Nomad Electric secures first German EPC contract

Nomad Electric Sp. z o.o. is a full-service provider specializing in the design, procurement, and construction of PV, wind, and hybrid power plants. The company entered the German market in 2024, offering investors a comprehensive range of services, including EPC, operations and maintenance (O&M), and its proprietary power plant management system, SCADA Nomad NX.

More Projects in the Pipeline

The Polish company’s first project in Germany demonstrates the level of trust that investors in key European markets have developed in Polish companies. Izabela Mielniczuk, Director of International Business Development at Nomad Electric, attributes this to a strong network of partners built over the years and the effect of customized turnkey solutions. She emphasizes that this initial project will not remain an isolated case, as the company already has further projects in the pipeline. Mielniczuk explains: "We are already working on awarding additional projects in Germany, laying a solid foundation for long-term growth across Europe."

European strategy

According to the company, the German project is part of a broader European growth strategy rooted in Portugal, where Nomad Electric successfully developed and commissioned photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 45 MWp. The company is currently constructing a PV plant there with a total capacity of 24 MWp. In Romania, Nomad Electric operates projects with a combined capacity of 12 MWp.

Smart power plant management

As a standout offering, the Polish company provides its proprietary “SCADA System Nomad NX” to the market. This system is a true all-rounder, designed not only to optimize the management of renewable energy plants but also to minimize failure risks and enhance the financial stability of investments. Nomad Electric currently manages 1.5 GWp of capacity using its software.

Poland’s service sector leads the way

Poland's economy has undergone significant transformation in recent years. According to the German-Polish Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the service sector accounts for 65.1% of Poland’s gross value added in the year 2023. Flexibility is part of polish business DNA

Adaptability is deeply embedded in Polish business culture. According to the Business Etiquette Poland guide by the Polish Chamber of Commerce, nothing is set in stone—Polish partners remain open to discussions, even on seemingly fixed points. This flexibility can be a major advantage, particularly in long-term collaborations such as energy projects, where evolving circumstances often require agile decision-making. (mg)
