Riello’s Sirio Power Supply (SPS) is a storage system that can also be used as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). GS Yuasa's 25 kilowatt hour battery consists of twelve lithium modules and can be freely expanded. The modules are able to provide large amounts of energy in a short time. This feature is of great importance both for the UPS functionality and for peak load management. The monitoring and visualisation of all relevant parameters is carried out by the energy management system.
The commercial storage unit enables an optimised use of PV energy for self-consumption by temporarily storing surplus energy in the battery. Subsequently, this energy can be utilised, e.g. for peak shaving in real time without using the public grid or for the rapid charging of electric vehicles. (mfo)
