German company Dreßler Bau joins Sunovation

The module manufacturer Sunovation, which specialises in building integration of photovoltaics, is taking the next step towards the mass market. This is because the Aschaffenburg-based building construction company Dreßler Bau is joining Sunovation. With a company history of 110 years, Dreßler Bau is an established construction company in turnkey building construction.

After all, the company turned over 348 million euros in construction work in 2022. Sunovation, on the other hand, specialises in the production of glass-glass modules for integration into facades and roofs and also manufactures customised solar panels using its very own process.

Demand for BIPV is rising

Since both companies specialise in facades, there are synergies that can help with the market ramp-up of BIPV projects. The main focus here is on architecturally high-quality and appealing building solutions. The demand for solutions for integrating photovoltaic systems into buildings is already increasing. In recent years, Sunovation has realised a whole series of BIPV projects not only in Germany but also internationally.

Expanding production

In order to meet the growing demand for BIPV solutions, Sunovation is currently planning to expand its production capacities as well as the further and new development of its products. With the financial support of Dreßler Bau and its many years of expertise in the construction industry, Sunovation can continue its growth course and meet the increasing demand for building-integrated photovoltaics, the company says. The Managing Director will remain Heribert Ley, who has been managing Sunovation's operative business since 2011. (su/mfo)
