Roof integration

Integrated solar roof panels without support system

Likewise, a bypass diode in each roof panel prevents the reduced output of one collector from affecting that of other collectors. Energy loss due to light reflection has also been significantly reduced. Compared to conventional solar collectors, the solar roof tiles generate significantly more electricity even with low light incidence and non-optimal orientation.

The tiles are based on simple concrete roof tiles. The module, a junction box and two connectors for the system connection are integrated into them. Builders therefore neither need additional support systems or frames, nor do they have to drill into the roof truss. Instead, the solar tiles are connected to the roof framework with screws or nails. The connection is then made in series via MC4 connectors. (mfo)
