Two independent charging points can be operated via the EV Charge Control Professional by Phoenix Contact: one for fast DC charging in accordance with DIN Spec 70121 and another for conventional AC charging in accordance with IEC 61851-1. The EV controller handles communication and control within the charging station as well as visualisation.
A Chademo interface can also be implemented via software components. This control solution for fast charging stations is particularly suitable for public and commercial applications, such as for charge points on motorways. With Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485 and CAN bus interfaces, all necessary components of the charging station can be flexibly combined.
The charging station can then be integrated into a charging park, building or energy management system. Via the programmable PT1000 input, the controller is able to permanently monitor the temperature at the power contacts of the charging plug. Depending on the programming, the charging process can be switched off or the charging capacity downgraded in the event of overheating. The integrated 3G wireless modem also allows convenient remote access. (mfo)
