The Lufthansa Group will use Vattenfall's electromobility services at all of its locations in Germany. The two companies have signed an agreement to this effect. In the first step, this includes the installation of more than 300 new charging stations, which Vattenfall will install.

"Electromobility stands for sustainability. It increases the attractiveness as an employer if employees can charge their EVs during working hours," says Fermin Bustamante, Managing Director of Vattenfall Smarter Living, describing the advantage for Lufthansa.
Billing for each user individually
At the charging stations, Lufthansa Group employees can charge not only their company cars, but also their private cars. The owner of the charging stations is the respective local Lufthansa company.
Vattenfall, in turn, not only takes care of the installation, but also ensures the efficient operation and regular maintenance of the new charging infrastructure. Vattenfall also handles user-specific billing.
Lowering barriers to e-mobility
With the offer, Vattenfall wants to make it easier for companies like Lufthansa to switch to e-mobility. "Many companies are willing to invest in electromobility if they are supported by partners who remove technical hurdles and offer advice, installation, intelligent control and maintenance from a single source," Bustamante knows.
