The bidirectional charging solution developed by E3/DC, which has already been field-tested, functionally extends the intelligent storage system and can only be operated together with the home power station. The solution consists of the Edison connect bidirectional DC charging station and a DC-DC converter. The V2H option can now be ordered in combination with a new S10 E Compact domestic power plant. The manufacturer will release further home power stations for this in the future.

Volkswagen is accompanying the market launch with the release of certain ID models for bidirectional DC charging. The technology is already being used in a pilot project in Sweden, and the partner companies expect the first installations in Germany at the beginning of 2024. (mfo)
