This will provide 18,000 parking spaces with charging points. The majority of these stations will be delivered by Compleo from 2023. The Danish market leader Clever operates the largest public charging network in Denmark and has been active there since 2009. The two companies have had a strong partnership for almost ten years.
The common goal is to advance Denmark's charging infrastructure. For this reason, the Compleo Duo charging station will be used, which has already proven itself locally and has two charge points with 22 kW each.
Plug & Charge possible in the future
Some features of the ordered Duo models will be designed specifically for Clever's needs in the first step and will be supplemented with further innovations in functionality in the future. This should result in particularly more cost-effective operating and maintenance costs.

The planned Duo version will also be ISO 15118-ready. Thus, functions such as Plug & Charge can be realised via software upgrades in the future. In addition, simple payment methods will also be made possible for end customers. The innovations will be successively introduced in the course of the next year.
European pioneers cooperate
For the second expansion stage of its charging network, Clever was looking for a suitable European partner. Clever was the first company to "connect" northern European cities with fast-charging stations along the motorways or, for example, to introduce the world's first flat-rate tariff for a monthly subscription fee. For its part, Compleo qualified as a German first mover in the development and production of modern charging technology.

This includes, for example, the first DC charging station that complies with calibration regulations and an integrated payment module with PIN pad at AC charging stations. The Dortmund-based company has already been contracted by Clever in 2021 in the first round of contracts to supply 900 stations with 1,800 charge points.
Meanwhile, electric mobility is making good progress in Denmark: as early as December 2021, 27 per cent of cars sold in Denmark were fully electric. This corresponded to a total of around 70,000 vehicles. The so-called Infrastructure Plan 2035 is important for Denmark, because by the end of 2025, approximately 20,000 stations nationwide by the end of 2025. The number of public charging stations is expected to double this year. (mfo)
