Solar roof powers supercharger in the Himalayas

The supercharger is part of the ‘Sichuan-Tibet Highway Supercharging Green Corridor’ along National Road 318. More than a million tourists visit the Chinese side of the world's highest mountain range every year. The expansion of the charging infrastructure supports e-mobility even in this remote and inhospitable region.

Harsh weather with hail, snow and storms alternates with intense high-altitude sunshine. Heat and cold are extreme. Aiko's ABC modules were selected because they are robust and powerful, both at low temperatures and high UV radiation. The solar roof generates around 236,800 kilowatt hours of solar power a year.
