This course is designed for anyone in the industry looking forward: car manufacturer, charging station operator, e-mobility service provider, supplier, or researcher. Plug & Charge automates and secures communication between electric vehicles and charging stations based on digital certificates. Tamper-free charging and billing occur autonomously – without the need for additional user-steps like RFID cards or smartphone apps.
The co-authors of the international ISO 15118 Vehicle-to-Grid standard developed a free rise V2G software. Since publication on GitHub in 2015, rise V2G has evolved as a solution by companies and research institutions worldwide. Rise V2G is the only open-source implementation of the ISO 15118 standard.
