Recently, Aptera Motors presented its production vehicle design – the Launch Edition. The Aptera is an ultra-efficient EV whose batteries can be charged using solar cells integrated into the vehicle’s outer skin. Following the news that SEV manufacturer Lightyear has filed for bankruptcy, Aptera – along with the recent extension of Sono Motors’ fundraising efforts – represents a grand opportunity of making solar-powered mobility a reality.
What is the Accelerator Programme about?
Through the Aptera Accelerator Programme, the first 2,000 Launch Edition vehicles produced will be prioritized for early deliveries to investors. From now through March 26, 2023, anyone who invests $10,000 or more will be added to a leader board on the Aptera website. The investor who contributes the most to the Accelerator Programme during this time period will receive the first delivery slot in the queue, and the remaining 1,999 slots will be prioritized according to the largest investment amount.
Customers must take delivery of their vehicles from Aptera’s production facility in California. But even for potential investors outside of North America or those not interested in being the first on their block to own an Aptera, this programme represents a solid investment opportunity: According to the company, once production starts and the first vehicles have been delivered, Aptera intends to go public, and all investments are to be converted into stocks.
For how long does the Accelerator Programme last?
The Aptera Accelerator Programme has been ongoing since 27 January 2023 and will go through 26 March 2023. For more information on the programme, visit the Aptera website. And if you are in less of a hurry but still want to make a reservation for an Aptera SEV, please use this link. (mfo)
