The Germany-based manufacturer Kaco attached great importance to versatility in the development process: With the battery inverter, system integrators have great freedom in the choice of battery technology, the connection to the higher-level energy management system and the size of the battery storage.
With the blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S, Kaco new energy has developed a bidirectional battery inverter with an output power of 50 kilowatts and an efficiency of 98.5 percent. The scope of application for the new battery inverter is commercial and large-scale energy storage systems, Kaco says. It is compatible with both lithium-ion batteries and other commercially available battery types. The blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S can be operated in parallel on the DC side to connect several inverters to a single high-capacity battery. The advantages are high system availability and efficiency of the battery storage.
The blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S is located between battery storage and grid. The installation can be carried out in outdoor areas thanks to protection class IP65. The battery inverter can be connected in parallel on the AC side, as well – in unlimited numbers. (nhp)
