Currently, anyone who wants to charge their electric vehicle in many places in the EU either needs a specific charging card or has to go through the cumbersome process of registering online with the respective provider. Feig wants to change that with their payment terminal. The user can pay at a charging station equipped with the terminal using an NFC-enabled credit or debit card or Girocard; the charging process can also be carried out using smartphone wallets.

The software installed by Feig ensures reliable data exchange so that the payment information is securely forwarded to the payment service provider. The payment terminal also supports manufacturers such as Wirelane by enabling billing that conforms to calibration regulations and is accurate to the point. Feig C-Vend provides the charging station operator with the data required for the digital payment receipt via data exchange. (mfo)
