It has a 4G mobile connection and thus allows an even more flexible choice of location in public areas. With a new generation of wallboxes, Webasto is providing an initial response to ISO 15118, which includes convenience functions such as "Plug and Charge" and will define bidirectional charging in its various facets in the future.

The ISO 15118 standard is the basis for new convenience functions and different forms of bidirectional charging. The AC Wallbox is suitable for installation in public spaces thanks to its MID and calibration conformity, is fully networked via WiFi, LAN and mobile radio (4G/GSM) and has a charging capacity of up to 22 kilowatts. A clear OLED display on the front informs about the charging process. The AC Wallbox will be launched on the market in 2024. (mfo)
