Inion Software sees major growth in renewable energy projects in 2024

Inion Software, a Lithuanian start-up specialising in renewable energy monitoring solutions, continues its upward trajectory in 2024. After achieving a record year in 2023, the company has experienced a marked increase in ongoing projects during the first half of this year. Offering AI-driven monitoring and management tools for solar, wind power plants and energy storage batteries, the number of Inion's active contracts has risen significantly, reflecting the growing demand for innovative renewable energy solutions across Europe.

In 2023, Inion Software managed 80 solar energy projects, a number that has increased to over 100 in the first half of 2024. The company has also made considerable strides in wind energy, securing five contracts this year compared to only one last year. Its AI-powered energy storage battery solutions have seen similar success, with projects more than quadrupling, from five in 2023 to over 20 in 2024. Inion Software is now involved in projects across several European countries, including Lithuania, Spain, Italy, and Sweden, underscoring its expanding market presence.

According to CEO Šarūnas Stanaitis, the future for renewable energy remains promising, particularly in solar and wind sectors. While some markets, like Lithuania, show signs of saturation, other regions are ripe for growth, especially in energy storage. Stanaitis also emphasised the increasing importance of cybersecurity in managing solar and wind power plants, with EU countries pushing for stricter regulations. Inion Software's solutions, which optimise energy use and enhance security, position the company well to meet the growing needs of the renewable energy market. (mfo)
