The organisers of Energy Decentral, the trade fair for decentralised energy supply for farms with green energy, have drawn a positive summary of the event. Despite the fact that the visitors could not come to the exhibition halls in Hanover, but instead informed themselves about the innovations on a digital platform, Energy Decentral and Euro Tier together registered 41,000 participants.
Great interest in the trade programme
The extensive trade programme was also well attended. The organisers counted a total of 83,000 visitors to the more than 300 lectures and discussion forums in the trade programme. The lectures organised by the photovoltaik editorial team on the topics of self-supply of farms with solar power and the use of land for photovoltaics were also well attended.

To organise all this and to network the visitors with the approximately 1,200 exhibitors, the German Agricultural Society (DLG) set up a huge online platform where participants in the fair could meet in virtual rooms. After all, 76 per cent of the visitors were decision-makers from agricultural businesses looking for investment opportunities.
Recordings from the technical programme available for download
But the fair is not over yet. The video conferencing facilities, the discussion forums and the Expo Showroom are now closed. But interested parties can still get in touch with the exhibiting companies. This is because the virtual exhibition stands will remain open until 15 April 2021. There, the companies can get in touch with visitors via the text chat, which remains open, and exchange information about the solutions on offer. Therefore, the fair advises exhibitors to continue to have at least one employee visible in the company profile as a contact person for interested parties. This profile can also continue to be customised. In addition, the recordings of the events in the technical programme will be available in the archive from 19 February 2021.
The DLG as organiser has also developed a questionnaire on which visitors can enter their impressions and experiences with the digital trade fair. You can find the questionnaire here. (su/mfo)
