Nord LB finances six solar parks in northern Italy

The projects are operated by the German companies MSE Solar and Envalue, which were responsible for the project development and are constructing the power plants. The funding of 41 million euros was carried out as part of a multi-borrower project financing scheme.

Part of the long-term debt capital was provided by the German development bank KfW via Nord LB. "Financing projects of this kind is of great importance to us. In the last eight years, we have financed over 500 megawatts in Italy," says Heiko Ludwig, Head of Structured Finance at Nord LB in Hanover. (HS/mfo)
