Solar Trade Case – free webinar of SolarPower Europe

On 20th December 2016, the European Commission brought forward its recommendations on the trade case involving solar modules and cells imported to the European Union from China, Taiwan and Malaysia.

Member states need to approve

Their recommendations include extending the duties and measures, including the Minimum Import Price (MIP), for 2 years and opening two interim reviews to modify the MIP and the administrative procedures over the coming year. These are the recommendations that will likely be sent to the European Union Member States for approval in February this year.

State of the play and what to expect

The webinar will explain: What has happened to date; the rationale of the European Commission for their recommendations; what is expected to happen next and the implications for businesses in the European Union of the proposed regulation.

The webinar will include 30 minutes for Q&A with the audience and takes place 9th February 10.30am (CET )-11:30am.  It will be presented by Dr. James Watson, CEO of SolarPower Europe and Paulette Vander Schueren, Partner, Mayer Brown. (HCN)
