The solar modules were provided by Jinko Solar and SMA Solar Technology AG supplied the inverters. The project that included three ground-mounted solar plants in Mersin Gülnar (5.5 MW), Osmaniye (3.2 MW) and Konya (8 MW) turned out to be a real challenge for everybody involved.
Stony soil and heavy snow
Among other difficulties, stony soil and snowfall had to be considered both in the planning and in the execution of the project, but the project team found the right solutions. Now three structurally safe ground-mounted solar plants provide clean solar power in the Turkish provinces of Mersin, Osmaniye and Konya.
