The ASO series is available with eight different rated currents from 1 to 30 amperes in dimensions of 10.3 by 38 millimetres.

The solar fuses of the ASO series from Schurter comply with the IEC 60269-6 and UL 2579 standards and are thus designed for the protection of photovoltaic systems.

In these systems, the voltages are raised in order to minimise the power losses in long conductors. The fuses are also used in inverters and battery charge controllers and as in-line or string fuses. Here, the fuses ensure safe interruption even at a demanding voltage level, whereas standard fuses are not intended for the complete protection of photovoltaic systems. At Schukat, the ASO series is available with eight different rated currents from 1 to 30 amperes in dimensions of 10.3 by 38 millimetres.

The switching capacity is 20 kiloamperes at 1,000 volts DC. Their operating temperature range is between minus 50 and 125 degrees Celsius. Schurter's ASO series solar fuses are now available from Schukat. (mfo)
