Inverter manufacturer Fronius has commissioned its new production hall at the Sattledt site near Linz. This will enable the company to produce 52,000 inverters this year. By way of comparison, 32,000 inverters will roll off the production line at Fronius in 2022. Due to the fact that the company focuses primarily on the segment of private domestic rooftop systems and small commercial systems, this year's production capacity adds up to about seven gigawatts. Last year, the capacity was four gigawatts.
Ten gigawatts is the next step
But this is not the final stage of expansion. In addition to contract manufacturing in Hungary, Fronius will also continue to ramp up in Sattledt. The company plans to produce 70,000 inverters with an output of ten gigawatts next year.

In one year, Fronius will then be able to produce a third of the total inverter output installed to date. This is because Fronius inverters with a total output of 29 gigawatts are currently converting electricity from solar modules into grid-compliant alternating current worldwide.
4,000 installation partners
Fronius is represented at a total of 26 locations worldwide. Further branches are planned in Belgium, Portugal and Romania. The main focus here is on sales and service. After all, this - along with the intelligence in the devices - is one of Fronius' strengths. It is important to work closely with the installers.

After all, an average of 2,700 new solar systems with Fronius inverters are connected every day. To sell the expanded production capacity, the company is also continuing to expand its partner and installer network. To date, this comprises over 4,000 installers worldwide who are already Fronius system partners. (su)
