With the takeover of the storage provider Energy Depot in autumn of 2018, the inverter manufacturer Kaco New Energy from Neckarsulm had purchased a market-ready technology. It offers a solution for operators of private and small commercial photovoltaic systems who want to combine solar energy with an electricity storage system.
The hybrid system provides connections for the battery, photovoltaic system and to the power grid. It is also possible to connect several batteries at a later date. This means that it can always be adapted to the energy requirements. The hybrid inverter feeds into the grid using a three-phase connection and compensates for fluctuations in consumption within 100 milliseconds. It has an efficiency of 98 per cent when feeding electricity into the grid and a high 97 per cent when charging and discharging the batteries. In addition, the inverter has excellent behaviour under partial load.
The system can also set up a three-phase island grid with a full ten kilowatts of power, and furthermore the Blueplanet Hybrid 10.0 TL3 has an integrated energy management system. (mfo)
