The new inverter supports the separate DC string inputs and uses only one AC output. According to Solaredge, this topology is characterised by high performance and easy installation. The inverter design is based on small, lightweight and easily transportable primary and secondary units. Nevertheless, AC cabling and commissioning are as simple as with central inverters.
The units are packed separately and are also mounted separately. Connection is via a plug-and-play cable. Two persons are sufficient for the installation. A crane, forklift or additional special tools are not required. For improved system stability, each unit continues to function independently of the other units if they are disconnected from the grid. An integrated RS485 module for overvoltage protection is also included. (mfo)
