This year, SMA has added new functions to the device: Sunny Highpower Storage for storage projects and Sunny Scalable Power for power-to-gas applications. The Peak 3 is the central component for a solution for large solar power plants with decentralised architecture and system voltages of 1,500 volts DC.

It enables a higher voltage and therefore more modules to be connected in series. The string inverter is equipped with the automatic SMA Service Smart Connected for service calls. This simplifies operational management and maintenance and significantly reduces service costs over the entire project term.

In combination with project-specific DC combiner boxes, the solar system can be oversized by up to 200 per cent. The Data Manager completes the system and makes it possible to fulfil all the grid operator's requirements. (mfo)
