Struggling Italian inverter manufacturer Fimer taken over by McLaren Applied Group

This decision, authorized by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) and following the guidance of Minister Adolfo Urso, comes after a thorough evaluation of all binding offers submitted by potential investors for the acquisition of Fimer business assets.

MA Solar Italy Limited would have been selected due to its robust business plan, which outlines a clear strategy for sustainable growth, development and innovation of Fimer’s core business, ensuring the long-term development of Fimer’s operations and workforce, the company announced. Moreover, the significant technological synergies between Fimer and McLaren Applied would be expected to drive technological advancements, operational efficiency, and further market expansion, including in new sectors compared to today’s core business.

This acquisition would provide an important turning point for Fimer, enabling the company to complete its restructuring process, support the plan for the continuity of the business and allow it to expand its activities, the company declared.
