What is new about the 3-phase Solution?
Andrea Polini: You can now add the new EV-Charger to the 3-phase Solution. The 3-phase Hybrid and the Battery are available on the market now for quite some time, but with the brand-new wallbox customers can now embrace an all-in-one smart system for their homes.
What special features does the EV-Charger offer?
The EV-Charger offers four different charging modes to fit all needs. The integration into Sungrow’s free of charge platform iSolarCloud allows to accurately monitor PV production, to store surplus in the Residential Battery, and to coordinate the optimal charge of the EV using only local renewable energy or a mix from all sources for fastest charging.
But the wallbox wasn’t the only innovation. To enable customers to maximize their self-consumption, Sungrow presented a new meter with 2 CTs.
What is the new meter with 2 CTs from Sungrow?
Elsa Cubillas: This new energy meter allows to add a 3-phase Hybrid inverter and a battery to an existing plant. Like this you can on the one hand extend the power of your plant and on the other hand retrofit your existing plant with a battery. The Solution is compatible with nearly every existing PV inverter, also from other manufacturers.
What is the benefit of using a meter with 2 CTs?
Both inverters can act as one unit. The 1. CT is connected to the grid feed-in point to monitor the energy fed-in the grid. The 2. CT is connected to any other PV inverter to monitor its production.
Apart from EV Charging, and the new Retrofit Solution, Sungrow also introduced a new power class of their Commercial Extreme Series.
What are the technological advancements of the new SG125CX?
Eleonora Potestio: Firstly, the increased amount of 12 MPPTs allows better and more flexible plant design. Secondly, with 15 A DC current input, the inverter follows the latest market trends and is compatible with over 500 W PV modules. Furthermore, the new AC Side makes installation as comfortable as possible. The connectors are easily accessible and positioned on the perfect height.
What is your favorite feature of the SG125CX?
The dynamic shading optimization. The algorithm tracks the full PV curve, compares local peaks, and tracks the highest power point, to improve the overall power generation. The function can easily be activated in iSolarCloud.
