How is your company organized in Poland?
Fronius has its own subsidiary in Poland, where we employ 70 people at two sites in Gliwice and Gdansk. In addition to the Solar Energy business unit based in Gliwice, we are also represented in Poland with the welding and battery charging technology divisions.
When did you start building a team in Poland?
Exactly 10 years ago, we hired our first local employee, but overall we have been active in the Polish PV market for over 15 years. We are considered PV pioneers and are valued as a premium brand in Poland. We also participate in associations dealing with photovoltaic and safety issues and participate in the definition or definition of industry standards.

What role does the Polish market play for Fronius?
The Polish PV market is of great importance to us. Especially since 2018, the industry has experienced a strong upswing. By the end of 2023, a total of 16.4 GW of PV capacity has been installed in Poland. For 2024, we expect another 3.6 GW of installed power.

What products and services do you offer on the Polish market?
We offer the entire product range of our Solar Energy division on the Polish market. This includes all PV components, from the generation of solar power to its storage, from emergency power solutions to electromobility, and from heat generation with photovoltaics to energy management. We also have set up our own hotline in Polish language for technical questions and we run our own training courses for installers in Poland.

Where is your focus in the Polish market, national, European or international?
Although we are represented worldwide with our products and solutions from the Solar Energy division, we focus on the European market. Within Europe, we have built up numerous national partnerships over the years and established local teams in our subsidiaries.
What developments do you expect in the Polish PV economy in the next 4 to 12 months?
Poland introduced flexible electricity tariffs in July 2024, with implementation taking place gradually over the coming months. With our new Energy Cost Assistant, we offer customers a smart solution that allows them to make the most of the benefits of dynamic electricity tariffs. We also expect that with the introduction of the 6th edition of the state support program "Mój Prąd" (My Electricity), the market will increasingly move towards energy storage.
