More and more companies want to be independent of fluctuating electricity prices. Sustainability requirements are also increasing. The goal of carbon-neutral production is high on the to-do list of many commercial and industrial companies. In this context, the issue of sustainability in solar production and power generation is becoming increasingly important, according to the organisers of the Sustainable Solar Europe conference.
From product sustainability to recycling
The programme includes information on supply chain transparency, product sustainability, recycling and the promotion of biodiversity through solar installations.

Speakers will also look at the legal framework for the sustainability of solar systems, such as the Ecodesign Directive. Energy labelling and best in class solar. The highlight of the morning will be the presentation of the Sustainability Award by the organisers Intersolar Europe and Solarpower Europe.
Dual use of space
In the afternoon, in addition to sustainability aspects of components for solar systems, the focus will be on how land and water can be optimally used twice. Speakers will highlight the potential of agriphotovoltaics and floating solar systems.
