The assembly systems manufacturer PMT Premium Mounting Technologies in Stadtsteinach, Franconia, has a new managing director. As of 1 August 2022, Michael Jakal has taken over the position previously held by Jörg Weber. In the future, Weber will again concentrate on his core task in the company's management, the operative business.
Concentration on digitalisation and e-commerce
Michael Jakal comes from the semiconductor and electronics industry and was previously managing director of Lichtbasis, a developer of lighting and lighting concepts for commercial enterprises. At PMT, he wants to use his expertise above all to give new impetus to the areas of sales, marketing, e-commerce and digitalisation.

"The already great importance of the solar industry on the international market has grown significantly again due to the current situation and the resulting findings," Jakal says. "The expansion of sustainable energy supply without dependencies is here to stay."
Promoting international business
He said he now wants to continue the growth at PMT - not only business-wise, but also in terms of technology. "Together with Michael Jakal, we want to develop PMT sustainably and promote international business," Jörg Weber emphasises. (su)
