Enphase will build up its production capacities in Europe together with its partner Flex.

US microinverter manufacturer Enphase Energy will expand its capacity together with manufacturing partner Flex. Starting in the summer of 2023, microinverters for the European markets will be manufactured at Flex's plant in Romania.

Enphase says it is responding to the rapid growth in the market and demand for residential solar installations in Europe. This is linked to rising energy prices and the increasing spread of electric vehicles and heat pumps. The new production site in Timisoara, Romania, will allow Enphase Energy to increase its global capacity. It will also reduce delivery times for customers in Europe.

Enphase has been working with Flex for almost 15 years. Now this cooperation is to be further expanded. Starting in 2023, Enphase's microinverters will be built at the Flex plant and distributed from there. (nhp/mfo)
