Schletter reports record turnover in second quarter

Schletter continues to benefit from the boom in the industry: In the past twelve months, turnover increased by 93 per cent compared to the same period last year. Last year, Schletter had already advanced to the top ten of assembly system manufacturers with an annual turnover of 342 million euros. According to the report, the growth drivers for the company were the markets in Germany, China, Turkey and South Korea. "By the middle of the year, we were already able to produce 50 per cent more than in the previous year. By the end of the year, we will have doubled our production capacities compared to 2022," says Schletter CEO Florian Roos.

The reason: Schletter was able to grow significantly in the economic region Europe-Arabia-Africa as well as in the Asia-Pacific region compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The open-space business developed particularly dynamically: With new projects in Bulgaria (70 megawatts), the Dominican Republic (60 megawatts), Italy (50 megawatts), Portugal (45 megawatts), Spain (30 megawatts), Turkey (25 megawatts), Israel (25 megawatts), Australia (18 megawatts) and other countries, turnover tripled compared to the second quarter of 2022. In total, more than 530 megawatts of mounting systems for open-space plants were ordered in the second quarter.

The company continues to see the medium and long-term prospects as very positive. At its very successful appearance at the world's most important industry trade fair, Intersolar Europe, in June, Schletter was able to acquire significantly more project leads than in previous years. At the same time, the company significantly expanded its manufacturing and logistics capacities in the first half of the year with the commissioning of the new production site in Turkey and a new logistics hub in northern Germany.
