At the Intersolar Europe Restart from 6 to 8 October 2021 in Munich, the industry will present its innovations in photovoltaics, grid infrastructure, storage solutions and mobility. A new topic coming to Munich is green hydrogen as a long-term storage medium.
Storage units will become standard
The combination of photovoltaics and storage units is becoming the standard. Whether for optimising self-consumption of solar power, charging electric vehicles, securing an uninterruptible power supply for industrial companies, capping peak power consumption or grid stabilisation as well as other grid services. This is why, one of the focusses of the trade fair is the combination of solar power with battery storage.
Digitalisation changes requirements
There are many new things to discover in Munich, and not only for private applications. The digitalisation of solar storage systems is also changing the requirements profile of trade and industry. Installers, for example, have to be able to handle software and be familiar with cloud applications.

At the same time, digitalisation opens up new possibilities. For example, in predictive maintenance, digital solutions help to predict when a battery needs to be replaced. The trade fair provides exciting insights into the many new possibilities of photovoltaics and storage technology. (HS/mfo)
