The Austrian photovoltaic and storage wholesaler Suntastic Solar has founded a trading company in Germany. From now on, specialised trade businesses can purchase components for photovoltaic systems and solar power storage units at the branch in Neuötting near Munich. The portfolio includes 3,000 different solar components. In addition, Suntastic offers a broad service portfolio.
A lot of support for installers on offer
In Austria, the solar wholesaler from Bisamberg near Vienna has already built up a large market share and supplied more than 1,000 solar installers from the Alpine Republic with material last year. "We owe our growth largely to our service offerings," explains Markus König, Managing Director of Suntastic Solar. "This year, for example, we have increased our technical support to 30 employees, where we produce around 1,500 plans per month," says König. "In addition, we provide active support in marketing, and our customers can save a lot of time in sales with our software tools. We are now bringing this concept to Germany."

Klaus Burgstaller has taken over the management of the new branch in Germany. "We are starting with our team in southern Germany, Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia," he says, referring to the catchment area. "For the next year, we plan to expand our sales activities to the whole of Germany." In addition, he says, Suntastic is also able to deliver at short notice, despite the bottlenecks in the market with solar modules as well as inverters and storage units.
Addressing new tradesmen
Suntastic also - but not only - wants to focus on established solar installers. Among others, the wholesaler also has an eye on installers who are new to photovoltaics, for example from the SHK sector and the roofing trade. For experienced installation companies that have so far concentrated on the private customer segment, the company sees opportunities above all to expand business to the segment of commercial roof systems. To this end, Suntastic Solar maintains its own installation teams. These are available as service providers for the installation of solar systems over 100 kilowatts. Suntastic Solar remains in the background as a subcontractor. (su/mfo)
