The current management will be appointed to the board of directors with the conversion to a public limited company. Tesvolt founder Daniel Hannemann will take over as CEO. The products and their technical development are the responsibility of Tesvolt founder Simon Schandert as CTO. Financial expert Philipp Koecke, who recently joined the company, becomes CFO and is responsible for the commercial side of the business. The elected members of the Supervisory Board combine extensive expertise in the energy industry, corporate organisation as well as international financing. They have extensive experience as well as excellent networks in their segments. Oliver Borrmann became Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Claudia Thonet was elected Deputy Chairperson. The other members are Johannes Meran and Ralf Christian.
High level of expertise united in the supervisory board
Oliver Borrmann is a highly experienced investor and expert in venture capital. He is the founder and managing partner of BMP Ventures AG, which already invested in Tesvolt at the beginning of 2017 with the IBG Venture Capital Fund III of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, which it manages.

With Ralf Christian, Tesvolt gains the former CEO of the Siemens Energy Management Division for the supervisory board. At Siemens, he was most recently responsible for 55,000 employees worldwide and over twelve billion euros in sales. In management positions at Siemens and General Electric, he helped shape the global energy industry for over two decades.
Investors have stepped in
Ralf Christian was also involved in the founding of Fluence Energy, a global provider of energy storage systems from the USA. Johannes Meran is Managing Partner and CIO of the Liechtenstein Group, which is owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein and took a significant stake in Tesvolt in the latest financing round in autumn 2021. Claudia Thonet is Founder and Managing Director of Claudia Thonet Agile Consulting and supports Tesvolt as an expert in organisational development.
More than 3,000 storage projects already realised
Tesvolt AG specialises in battery storage for commerce and industry. The company produces intelligent lithium storage units ranging from 30 kilowatt hours to several megawatt hours. Tesvolt uses battery cells from Samsung SDI. Tesvolt manufactures its commercial storage systems at the Gigafactory for Commercial Battery Storage in Wittenberg.
