Krannich Solar remained on course for growth in 2022. "The operating business is developing well in all our branches," Kurt Krannich sums up. "There is market growth in almost all countries. Especially the domestic as well as the European markets are growing strongly." The company founder estimates that the photovoltaic market will continue to grow worldwide.
New subsidiaries in Vietnam and the USA
Consequently, Krannich Solar is continuing its global expansion. In 2022, a new branch was established in Vietnam. In the USA, two new branches started operations in Florida and Texas, in addition to locations in New Jersey and California. Warehouse space was expanded by almost 20,000 square metres worldwide and the number of employees increased to over 1,000.
Growth expected to continue
Thus, the wholesaler sees itself well prepared for the current year: "We closed 2022 with a significant increase in turnover," judges Jens Ullrich, Chief Revenue Officer of Krannich. "For 2023, we expect strong growth. High energy prices and increased awareness of climate-friendly energy are driving demand for photovoltaics." In addition, the political framework conditions are now "green" in very many countries.
Storage units increasingly lucrative
In addition to photovoltaic systems, storage units are becoming lucrative in more and more countries, both in private homes and for commercial installations. Commercial storage systems can pay for themselves within a few years if they are well planned and tailored to the needs of the system operators. Krannich offers installers to support them in the design and implementation. (HS/mfo)
