The small curved sheet is pushed under the module clamp during installation. The two lateral angles enclose the frames of the two modules attached with this clamp. In this way, the contact plate ensures a conductive connection between the module frame and the mounting system.
The small plate has a big impact: It ensures that the Tübingen-based supplier's systems meet all requirements for equipotential bonding and lightning current carrying capacity. Baywa r.e. has already integrated the new contact plate into its design software so that the technician will find it on his parts inventory. (mfo)
