The core of this innovation by Ernst Schweizer is the surface-mounted design: the solar modules are suspended in roof hooks, which in turn are mounted on profiles. These have a polyurethane elastomer protective strip and rest on the roof tiles. Thanks to the improved load distribution, the number of roof hooks can be reduced by more than two-thirds in ideal cases. The permissible load capacity of clay roof tiles and concrete roof tiles was taken into account during the development of the system and is significantly undercut. The material of the protective strip has proven itself in particularly long-lasting applications such as tram, subway and suburban railway tracks.

In addition to faster installation, the system reduces the mechanical load on the modules, especially on uneven roofs. Installation using inlays in profile rails and flexible roof hooks compensates for possible tensions. In addition, the modules are installed seamlessly and without distance to the roof. The new system is already being installed in pilot projects in Switzerland. The start of sales is planned for the coming year. (mfo)
