Made of an aluminium alloy (Al9 EN AW 6056), Fath screw is made from the same material as the common aluminium components used for mounting. The uniform coefficient of linear expansion ensures improved mechanical properties during thermal expansion. Reduced creep in the material enables secure connections and good reparability. Aluminium screws of a similar shape from Ribe have been used successfully for around two decades for transmission parts in the automotive industry.

The aluminium screw covers the functions of A2 and A4 stainless steel screws. This reduces the number of variants, storage space and weight. The aluminium screw also scores in terms of sustainability: thanks to the material adaptation, the entire system can be recycled without material separation. The new aluminium screw is available in sizes M4 to M10 and as ISR and optionally as ASR. In Germany, it is sold exclusively by Fath Solar Components. (mfo)
