Mounting systems:

Self-supporting system for sandwich roofs

The Austrian manufacturer Aerocompact has developed a new mounting solution for roof-parallel installations on sandwich panels and trapezoidal sheet metal roofs. The Compact Metal TR65 long rail system requires neither special certification from roof panel manufacturers nor additional verification for high snow loads or large purlin spacing. This is because the system is self-supporting and is completely supported on the roof construction. It thus relieves the roof panels, which, due to their construction of sheet steel outer shells and foam on the inside, are not able to support heavy loads.

The long rail system is suitable for accessible roofs with inclinations of up to 70 degrees. The supporting structures can be made of wood, steel or aluminium. At the heart of the new mounting solution is the TR65 long rail, which has been available as part of the Compact Metal roofing system kit since October 2020. The structurally optimised cross-section of the profile can support loads over lengths of up to 3 metres, and so only a few supporting points are required. (mfo)
