For Van der Valk Solar Systems - as for pretty much everybody - 2021 was once again dominated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the company was able to strengthen its organisation, hire new staff and adapt its PV mounting solutions to the changing market.
Material scarcity and rising prices were also challenges that needed to be dealt with. But own production capacity, long-term relations with suppliers and close contact with customers allowed Van der Valk to keep operating with minimum inconvenience.

Yet another highlight of the year was being awarded the ISO14001 certificate and a gold medal from EcoVadis, a major provider of sustainability ratings.
What 2022 holds in store for Van der Valk
Following a long period of preparation, Van der Valk has started building an additional 8,700 square metres of production sspace at its company headquarters in the Netherlands. This lays the groundwork to ensure that the company is prepared for further growth, including the subsidiary Van der Valk Horti Systems. In addition to the already existing branch offices in the UK, Sweden and Spain, there will also be a new branch in Germany which will serve the German-speaking countries.
Furthermore, 2022 will see new products being developed. There will be fundamentally new mounting systems for both residential and commercial markets that will come with all the relevant certifications and design software. Van der Valk have not been able to provide more specific details so far, but watch this space or sign up for the pv Europe newsletter and you will hear about it as soon as the information is available.
