New configurator allows planning using Google Maps

Via an interface, roof areas can now be marked and planned directly in Google Maps. After entering the roof pitch, the system calculates the exact size of the roof area to be covered and, if desired, suggests the optimal covering depending on the orientation. By entering a zip code or city name, the system automatically applies the regional standard loads for wind and snow. For this purpose, the Schletter Configurator has the world's most comprehensive load calculation database.

While previously only one layout per roof was possible, several different roofs and roof systems can now be edited within one layout. Users can also choose between quick design and professional mode: In quick design mode, the system suggests the optimum design in terms of size, alignment and structural characteristics. In professional mode, users can freely select the individual parameters themselves. (mfo)
