The Rooftech system is designed to prevent pigeons from nesting under the modules on the roof and thus causing damage and soiling them. The Birdblocker strips are attached to the underside of the module frames using fastening clips. The strips are one metre long and are made of recyclable and UV-resistant plastic; the clips are made of stainless steel. The system is successfully being used in the Netherlands with needles ten centimetres long. A variant with 20 centimetre needles is now available for the German market. (mfo)
