Elsa Cubillas: “iSolarDesign is our software solution for solar designers and engineers. It is a web-based platform that allows users to quickly and easily design and simulate solar projects. With the latest update of the software we implemented some significant improvements like 3D modelling, string layout view, geographical localization, cabling losses, integration with iSolarCloud, and a complete sharable report with bill of materials, yield, and weather data. Especially the 3-D modelling is one of my favourite new features. It makes the design more realistic and tangible, and it's a great tool to close the deal with some clients. When the software was first launched back in 2020, it was extremely important to the R&D Team, that the software is quick & easy to use. This core value hasn’t changes with the latest release. iSolarDesign is incredibly user-friendly. It was designed to be intuitive and easy to use, even for people who are new to solar design. Furthermore, it is very flexible. Users can customize their designs based on a wide range of variables, including panel type, tilt angle, shading, and more. Finally, iSolarDesign is very accurate. Sungrow has built in advanced algorithms that take into account factors like temperature, weather conditions, and panel efficiency to give users the most realistic simulation possible.
Coming to further improvements of the software Elsa Cubillas comments: “To access the tool, you can go to design.isolarcloud.com. There, you can create a new account or login directly with your iSolarCloud credentials. The better connection between iSolarCloud and iSolarDesign is one of the implemented improvements. When being login in with your iSolarCloud credentials, you can jump to our monitoring platform, iSolarCloud, with only one click and create a new plant from your design.”
iSolarDesign always was and will be a free-of-charge tool from Sungrow. “We want to support the installers out there in the best possible way, that’s why we constantly improve or products and also our software solutions. Also for iSolarDesign we never stop developing and improving. In the future, we want to be compatible with current software in the market, add a financial segment where you can see the return of investment, and compare your production vs. consumption.”, says Elsa Cubillas.
