This is confirmed by Christian Fischer, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management at Bosch. Of this amount, around 255 million euros will flow into a new production site for heat pumps in Dobromierz in Lower Silesia, around 70 kilometres from Wrocław in Poland, by the end of 2027. Construction work is scheduled to start in 2024. The start of production is planned for the turn of the year 2025/26. Around 500 new jobs are to be created here by 2027.
Bosch doubles heat pump models
At the same time, Bosch is also strengthening its existing locations in Europe: for example, production for indoor units of a particularly quiet heat pump started at the Bosch Group's oldest location in Eibelshausen at the beginning of the year. Bosch has also significantly expanded its development capacities in Germany since 2019. Overall, the heat pump portfolio has doubled in terms of models, and existing models have been revised or have received an upgrade. In addition to Eibelshausen, Bosch also develops or manufactures heat pumps in Aveiro, Portugal and Tranås, Sweden, as well as in Wernau, Germany. Bosch is also involved in a joint venture with Electra Industries for reversible heat pumps in Israel.
