The new solution enables households to control the operation of heat pumps intelligently and efficiently. In combination with hourly dynamic electricity tariffs, the annual electricity costs of heat pumps can typically be reduced by 430 euros (27 percent). The smart heat pump control shifts energy consumption for heating and hot water to times when electricity is particularly green and cheap.

For installation, the connector is simply connected to the heat pump by cable via the slot in the remote control unit. Communication with the heat pump takes place via BUS protocol. In addition, the customer connects the internet bridge to the home wifi router and installs the app on the smartphone.
