The Austrian company MyPV was a pioneer in the coupling of solar power and heat supply. As early as 2014, the Elwa series was developed, intelligent heating rods, to use excess DC solar power for hot water preparation. One year ago, the power controller AC-Thor was added.It can use excess AC either for hot water or for room heating (for example electric heating mats). The AC-Thor regulates the heating power of the connected components continuously from zero to 3,000 watts. From July 2019, MyPV will be launching the new AC-Thor 9S: a three-phase system that can deliver steplessly between zero and nine kilowatts - regulated at every single phase.
