This had already been decided at the end of March 2023 in connection with the increase in the annual production capacity of the module plant in Goodyear (Arizona, USA) from 1.6 gigawatts to two gigawatts. The agreement with Ingka Investments covers the supply of premium solar modules to be produced in Goodyear in the future and delivered between 2025 and 2029.

The solar modules will be manufactured on Meyer Burger's new glass-glass product platform and are electrically and size optimised for applications in the power plant segment, Meyer Burger said. The modules are characterised by low degradation and a bifaciality of more than 90 per cent.

Ingka Investments will make an annual advance payment to enable Meyer Burger to procure and finance machinery, materials and raw materials for solar module production. The parties have agreed not to disclose further details of the contract for the time being. (nhp)
