The first-of-its-kind European demonstration site in Rüsselsheim, Germany was inaugurated on Tuesday. “With largely increased volume for utility-scale solar projects in Spain, France, Germany and the Netherlands, and anticipated Italian policy, Europe is back on the solar map”, a company speaker said.
Build developer and industry understanding of different products
First Solar launched the site “to build developer and industry understanding of different products to better evaluate their specifications and support competitiveness with the upcoming solar tenders.
In addition to showcasing the company’s recent innovative solar module, Series 6, First Solar is drawing attention to a solar plants’ balance of systems equipment to further drive cost optimization potential”. The site will be open for hands-on training sessions and tours for the next three years. (HCN)
