The company’s Vision glass-glass panels scored “high above market average” in rigorous strength tests undertaken to assess their performance and resilience in extreme weather conditions such as cyclones, Solarwatt announced.
High resistance in mechanical load tests
The Vision 60M and Vision 60M Style solar modules were found to resist vertical design loads of 6.52 kilopascals (kPa – a recognised measure of pressure and strength) when supported on mountings at 800mm centres and 6.16 kPa when supported on mountings at 1200mm centres.

Albright Consulting Engineers carried out the four individual mechanical load tests in such a way as to imitate closely real-world conditions. The assessment was undertaken in November at Darwin in the Northern Territory, a region of Australia known for the frequency and strength of its cyclones. The Certificate of Compliance applies to Solarwatt Vision 60M – 315Wp and 320Wp, and Vision 60M Style (black) models: 300Wp, 305Wp, 310Wp, 315Wp and 320Wp.
