The OFF-GRID Expo + Conference (short: OEC) in Augsburg is the only neutral congress trade fair in Europe focused on the off-grid solar, wind and hydropower systems sector. With its practice-oriented, hybrid format consisting of an English-language conference, trade fair and community network happening, it represents the highlight at the end of the year in December. More than 70 companies will present their know-how and showcase their innovative products and services to the approximately 900 conference attendees and trade show visitors. The official conference partner is the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE).
With its know-how transfer, the meeting point of the off-grid community directly contributes to the direct achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Affordable and clean energy as well as access to clean drinking water is only possible in large parts of the world through the expansion of off-grid energy supply.
At each of these conference topics, 5 speakers will present their expertise and best cases:
- Women entrepreneurs and off-grid renewable energy – A status-quo check!
- Technical innovations in the off-gird energy sector with innovative small wind systems
- Integrated solar cooking – Opportunities and challenges for cooking with the power of sun in developing countries
- Utilisation of green hydrogen for off-grid energy access
- Energy Storage Solutions – providing uninterrupted energy supply
- Best practices on productive use of renewable energy (PURE) driven by bioenergy and micro-hydro technologies
As keynote speaker we are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Stefan Liebing (CEO Conjuncta GmbH) on the first day of the conference.
